Gold Bug Park

Gold Bug Park is a historic mining museum located in Placerville, Ca. Visitors can take a mining tour for as little as $5 per person. In this tour, you can walk into a real mine and listen to an audio retelling the history of the gold rush. It is cold inside the mine because of the rock sediment and depth.

After completing this mine tour, there is another Stamp Mill tour that is included in the admission cost. In this Stamp Mill, visitors watch a blacksmith create iron pieces. There are also rock and gold displays at the Stamp Mill, including a machine that crushes rock to locate gold.
