Pigeon Point Lighthouse

Did you know that lighthouses symbolize leadership? Need a dose of leadership to complete the journey? Historically, many lighthouses were built to safely navigate ships away from dangerous shores and as aerial beacons to signal planes. Pigeon Point Lighthouse is located 27 miles north of Santa Cruz, California. This lighthouse is a part of a California Lighthouse hostel where visitors can stay for as little as $25.50 per night.

We visited Pigeon Point Lighthouse to see the spectacular view. At one time, this lighthouse was capable of lighting up 17 miles of California coastline. However, the Fresnel lens that occupied the Pigeon Point Lighthouse has been retired and stored away for visitors to view.

If you have time to drive along the coastline, you can view the Pigeon Point Lighthouse to see this 115 feet tall beacon of hope. Even though this lighthouse is no longer functional, the historical value of this landmark can add excitement to any image. Take a trip to visit the Pigeon Point Lighthouse today.

Help preserve this historical landmark so it lights up the California coastline again. See how you can petition and donate to this Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Restore the nostalgia!
